PART-TIME SEASONAL BOOKSTORE WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE
This fast-paced position is responsible for hand picking customer orders of college textbooks and merchandise, preparing them for shipment, and processing online transactions. Each step in the process requires strict attention to order accuracy. Works from Electronic order system or order sheets to accurately pull orders. Follows warehouse instructions in building outgoing shipments and loads. Employees must maintain a clean and safe work environment. Position includes receiving and unpacking inbound shipments and stocking product on shelves in designated warehouse space.
Position requires lifting a very high volume of cases of product per day from 20-45 pounds per case repeatedly during a long work period. Requires constant standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting reaching and grasping as product is moved.
PRIMARY JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Accurately hand pull customer orders
- Package and prepare orders for shipment
- Process online customer orders
- Turn in paperwork with order fulfillment to front office
- Receive inbound shipments of merchandise
- Stock product on shelves
- Maintain proper housekeeping standards in work area
- Regular, reliable, predictable attendance
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 18 years or older
- Position requires lifting a very high volume of cases of product per day from 20-45 pounds per case repeatedly during a long work period. Requires constant standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting reaching and grasping as product is moved.
JOB TYPE
Part-Time, 20 hrs/week (may vary slightly)
COMPENSATION
$12.00 per hour to start with quick advancement opportunities for the right candidates and pay increases based on dependability and desire to succeed!
HELPFUL EXPERIENCE
- Experience working in a warehouse environment (e.g., order selector/picking product storage, product staging, shipping, receiving, etc.)
- Working with computer systems including order receiving, processing, and shipment software
- Experience working in a team environment (e.g., cooperating with co-workers, joint problem solving, etc.)
